I chose real estate 10 years ago because I wanted to "plug in" to my community and really get to know it well. A full-time Patagonia resident for twelve years, I can finally say I've achieved that goal. Becoming a REALTOR® was the perfect career transition for me. I spent over thirty years managing full-line department stores, developing expertise in legal and financial matters that continues to aid me every day at work. I don't get flustered when issues arise; instead, I put my energy into solving problems and getting my clients the results they deserve without a fuss.
The trust my clients place in me, both in the midst of our work together and beyond, is what means the most to me. I've put up three clients to date in my guest house while they waited for their own property to be ready for move-in, just as a show of good faith. I've even "adopted" an elderly client to help him with his financial affairs and execute his will—all without compensation. I consider all of these things to be elements of my work, unconventional as they may be; my job is to make my clients happy, no matter what I have to do or where I have to go. My work ethic once earned me the #1 spot in my market area, and I consistently rank among the top three REALTORS® here. I also have two Chairman's Club awards and five Pro of the Year awards (and counting!) under my belt. The bottom line is that I have the skills to get the job done.
Patagonia is a beautiful small town that takes care of its residents. A great sense of community and plenty of volunteering opportunities keep it vibrant—I myself serve as President of United Way of Santa Cruz County. Though I'm an admitted type-A workaholic, I enjoy spending my free time riding my horses, taking long walks with my dogs, reading, gardening, and traveling. I especially like taking on home remodeling projects and passing what I learn along to my clients.
If you're thinking of buying or selling a home in the Patagonia area, I'm the right person to help you see it through. I look forward to working with you!
